The Province is working with Treaty 8 First Nations to further reconciliation and improve government-to-government relations.
A number of agreements have been reached in recent months, including:
B.C. and Treaty 8 First Nations also work together through various agreements related to natural resource development, including collaborative management agreements and economic benefits agreements that provide annual revenue sharing from oil, gas, forestry and mining activities within traditional territories.
