Please be advised the Kivalliq Inuit Association (KIA) has been informed the Royal Canadian Navy’s (RCN) HMCS William Hall, an Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessel, will be in the Kivalliq Region between September 21-28, 2025 with stops in Coral Harbour and Rankin Inlet. This marks a significant milestone as it marks the ships inaugural visit to its affiliated region, underscoring the RCN’s commitment to fostering strong relationships with communities across Canada’s Arctic.
During it’s time in the Kivalliq Region, the HMCS William Hall aims to engage with local culture and community. The RCN Command Team will be present at the upcoming Kivalliq Tradeshow, providing an opportunity for residents to interact with navy personnel and learn more about the ship’s mission and capabilities. The Commanding Officer is also scheduled to participate in the “Changes in Arctic Security” Panel, offering insights into the evolving security landscape in the Arctic.
