QIA Seeking Board Members for Various Positions

Iqaluit, Nunavut, April 22, 2026 – The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) is seeking individuals that are interested in applying for one of the eight boards listed below.

– Nunavummi Disabilities Makinnasuaqtiit Society
One position, 1-year term, all Qikiqtani Inuit are eligible to apply

– Qausuittuq National Park Joint Planning and Management Committee
One position, 3-year term, all Qikiqtani Inuit are eligible to apply

– Napartulik Territorial Park Joint Planning and Management Committee
Two position, 3-year term, resident of Grise Fiord are eligible for this position

– Kinngaaluk Territorial Park Joint Planning and Management Committee
One positions, 3-year term, resident of Sanikiluaq are eligible for this position

– Sylvia Grinnell/Qaummaarviit Territorial Park Joint Planning and Management Committee
Three positions, 3-year term, resident of Iqaluit are eligible for this position

– Katannilik Territorial Park Joint Planning and Management Committee
One Position, 3-year term, residents of Kimmirut are eligible for this position

– Social Policy Committee – Women’s Representative
One position, 3-year term, all Qikiqtani Inuit are eligible to apply

– Social Policy Committee – Youth Representative – Ages 16-30
One position, 3-year term, all Qikiqtani Inuit are eligible to apply

To be considered for any of these positions, you must include a completed application form and a current resume. Some boards or committees may require a completed Vulnerable Sectors Check, completed within the last 6 months.
