An Indigenous peacekeepers pilot program is starting in Saskatoon, but what will it look like?

Last week, it was learned through a city council discussion around a community safety program that the peacekeepers program would start next week.

Saskatoon’s director of emergency management, Pamela Goulden McLeod, said temporary community patrols will be in place because the Saskatoon Tribal Council, which is running the peacekeeper program, wasn’t able to get things up and running in time.
