R E P E A T — Media advisory – Federal government to make a significant announcement to advance nation-building infrastructure in Canada

YELLOWKNIFE, NT, June 23, 2026 – The Minister of Transport and Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, the Honourable Steven MacKinnon, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Canada, the Honourable Tim Hodgson, the Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations, the Honourable Rebecca Alty, the Premier of the Northwest Territories, and the Honourable R.J. Simpson, will make a significant announcement to advance nation-building infrastructure in Canada. The Honourable John Main, Premier of Nunavut, will also be in attendance.

Media will have an opportunity to ask questions following the announcement.
