Seal and fur contributions program

The Department of Community Services’ fisheries and sealing division invites all eligible Nunavummiut to submit applications for the seal and fur contribution program.

The seal and fur contribution program provides funding to support the production of seal skin products and workshops. The program also supports craft sales and trade shows, as well as any other knowledge sharing activities.

Applications are open to registered businesses, individuals, community groups and other organizations. Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and requires a 10 per cent applicant contribution. To be eligible, at least 50 per cent of materials used must be sealskin.

Applications are open until funding runs out for the fiscal year or March 31, 2027.
