shíshálh & Tk’emlups Day Scholar Process Fundraising Raffle Winner Announced

Proceeds to go towards the Day Scholars Class Action Lawsuit process. On June 3, 2015, Federal Court in Vancouver approved the lawsuit as a class action that includes anyone who attended at any Indian Residential School, for any times they attended as a “Day Scholar” (i.e. non-resident student), as well as their children and potentially the bands within communities that contained a Residential School.

The winner of the hockey draw fundraiser in support of Day Scholar Class Action is Ryan Dixon. He will be in Kwekwitlem Chief Ron Giesbrecht’s luxury suite with 17 friends on November 22 against New Jersey. Proceeds to go towards the Day Scholars Class Action Lawsuit process.
