Classification: Organizational Support and Services – O3 Coordinative Services/Salary Grade Band C
Qualified Level Salary Range:  $40,465.00 – $44,960.00 – $49,456.00

Position Objective:

The Skills and Trades Assistant participates as a team member to assist the Post-secondary Education and Training program with administrative and technical support that contributes to the efficient and effective management of the overall operations of the organization, with a focus on trades, apprenticeship, and general-interest course delivery.   

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Business Administration or relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 1 year of direct work experience in an administrative capacity. 

Job Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of general office procedures and practices involving procurement, travel arrangements, budget management, and reports.
  • Strong time management skills, multi-tasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to record meeting minutes.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to maintain filing systems and databases.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a challenging environment.
  • Maintain a high level of security, privacy, and confidentiality.
  • An appreciation of the Anishinabek culture, principles, values, language, history and customs; and supportive of Anishinabek practices, language revitalization and protocols.
