City politicians are set to reignite debate over the future of Springbank Dam.
A report being presented to members of the Civic Works Committee on Tuesday recommends a joint environmental assessment for the dam and the Back to the River project.
Debate was put on hold in March as Councillors sought unspecified legal advice.
Chippewas of the Thames, Oneida Nation of the Thames, and Munsee Delaware First Nation communities have called on London to decommission the Springbank Dam, along with many environmental scientists who feel the river will be healthier if the dam is not fixed.
