Applications open for 2026 French-language funding

Summary
Applications are open for funding to support initiatives that strengthen French-language services and enhance francophone community vitality throughout British Columbia.
“We continue to improve access to services in French throughout the province,” said Adrian Dix, Minister responsible for Francophone Affairs. “By investing in initiatives led by local organizations, we are ensuring French-language services are responsive, accessible and delivered with people in mind.”
Supporting French-language services in B.C.
Through the Provincial Fund for French-Language Services, the Province invests $250,000 annually in projects that improve access to services in French. The fund prioritizes initiatives led by community-based organizations that are best positioned to meet the needs of the people they serve, helping deliver practical and impactful services.
Expanding access, strengthening communities
Aligned with B.C.’s French-language policy, the fund supports projects that build on existing progress while encouraging new, innovative approaches to improve access to services in French, strengthen community vitality and create lasting effect.
Funding is open to B.C.-based non-profit organizations, including those serving rural or smaller communities, recognizing the importance of broad participation and diverse perspectives in strengthening Francophone communities throughout the province.
Applications are open until July 10, 2026.
