The Centre Winter 2026 – MFNERC

The staff of the Manitoba First Nations Education Resource Centre (Resource Centre) and the Manitoba First Nations School System (MFNSS) are passionate about providing stu-dents and teachers with the best resources for learning. I know they take pride in the progress of the students and positive developments in First Nations classrooms. I always enjoy wit-nessing the empowering support that our staff provide.

Over the course of 2025, I was pleased to see the Resource Centre host a number of successful events, including the LTF and CKP conferences, the second annual Heritage Fair, First Nations Language Instructor Training, as well as many other meetings and gatherings held to support education staff and administrators. It is always exciting to visit with attendees at these events and see their commitment to enhancing the class-room experience.
