Canadian general civil caseloads from 2019/2020 to 2023/2024
COVID-19 pandemic restrictions resulted in a 22% decrease in the number of active general civil cases in 2020/2021. Though general civil caseloads have since risen (+10% from 2020/2021 to 2023/2024), there were still fewer active general civil cases in 2023/2024 than before the start of the pandemic (-14%).
Urban public transit, November 2025
In November, the number of urban transit passenger trips in Canada reached 135.5 million, 4.3 million fewer than in November 2024.

In 2022, parents of Indigenous children in Indigenous-specific child care were more satisfied with their child care provider than those in centre-based child care. Parents with higher satisfaction reported a stronger alignment with traditional and cultural values and customs of Indigenous families and a greater sensitivity to their unique needs.
