Building permits, April 2024
The total monthly value of building permits in Canada significantly increased 20.5% to $12.8 billion in April.
Estimates of multifactor productivity growth in the provinces, 2022
Multifactor productivity in the business sector increased in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta and declined in all other provinces in 2022. For Canada overall, multifactor productivity rose by 0.6% in 2022.
Health region peer groups, 2023
Today, Statistics Canada is releasing the document Health Region Peer Groups – Working paper, 2023. This paper presents the classification of the 2023 health regions into peer groups based on similar socioeconomic determinants of health. The purpose of this paper is to define the concept of health region peer groups, to provide an overview of how they are created, and to demonstrate their usefulness.
