Industrial product and raw materials price indexes, December 2022
In December, the Industrial Product Price Index declined 1.1% month over month and was up 7.6% year over year.
Consulting Services Price Index, third quarter 2022
The Consulting Services Price Index (2018=100) is now available for the third quarter.
Racialized Canadians are less likely to find as good jobs as their non-racialized and non-Indigenous counterparts early in their careers
Although racialized people are generally more likely than their non-racialized, non-Indigenous counterparts to earn a bachelor’s degree or higher, they are less likely to find jobs that offer the same pay and benefits in the years following graduation.
National culture indicators, third quarter 2022
In the third quarter of 2022, real gross domestic product (GDP) for the culture and sport sectors in Canada increased for a ninth consecutive quarter, up 1.5% to $15.7 billion. This followed a 1.8% increase in the second quarter.
Accommodation services, 2021
Operating revenue for the accommodation services subsector rose to $19.5 billion in 2021, a 14.7% increase from 2020. The reopening of provincial economies and the easing of travel restrictions spurred this growth.
Specialized design services, 2021
Following a year of disruptions to business operations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the specialized design services industry group experienced a full rebound in 2021, bolstered by strong demand for residential interior design services. Operating revenue for the industry group rose 14.0% to reach $3.8 billion, surpassing all pre-pandemic levels.
