Social inclusion statistics for Canada’s ethnocultural groups: New Products!
Today, 11 data visualization tools and a reference guide on social inclusion indicators for Canada’s ethnocultural groups are released. Over 120 indicators that are accessible on the homepage of the Gender, Diversity and Inclusion Statistics Hub and classified under 11 themes can now be visualized in graphs. The complete list of social inclusion indicators and a description of their corresponding derivation are also accessible.
Non-profit institutions and volunteering: Economic contribution, fourth quarter 2022
Real gross domestic product (GDP) of non-profit institutions rose 0.5% in the fourth quarter of 2022, after edging down 0.1% in the third quarter. Growth in real GDP of non-profit institutions was attributable to increased activity throughout the non-profit subsectors.
Monthly civil aviation statistics, January 2023
Major Canadian airlines carried 6.1 million passengers on scheduled and charter services in January, more than double the number of passengers in the same month of 2022, but 11.3% below the January 2019 level, before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Aircraft movement statistics: Major and select small airports, January 2023
In January, Canada’s major and select small airports totalled 337,385 aircraft movements. This was an increase of 20.6% from January 2022, but was 14.0% lower than January 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Production and disposition of tobacco products, February 2023
Canadian manufacturers produced 1.1 billion cigarettes in February 2023, up 18.5% from January 2023. Cigarette production was 5.0% lower compared with February 2022.
