The Gathering at Moh’kinstiss: An Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration – CJWE

Calgary’s Indigenous Gathering Place Society is launching an event to celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day this year with a full day celebration, and will take place Sunday June 21st, from 11am tro 9:30pm at the ContainR Art Park and the Alexandria Centre in Inglewood.

The event is meant to represent more than a day of programming; it’s a step towards realizing a long-awaited, permanent Indigenous-led gathering place in the City of Calgary. For now, the locations for the event will be transformed for a day in a living expression of the diversity and presence of Indigenous peoples across the city and country.
