Tobacco Has No Place Here reminds smokers to take big steps

In celebration of National Non-Smoking Week (NNSW), January 18 to 24, smokers in Nunavut are encouraged to take three big steps away from any building entrance and/or exit, and 15 big steps away from schools to protect people from second-hand smoke.

During this week, smokers are asked to comply with Nunavut’s Tobacco Control Act to protect people from the harmful effects of second-hand smoke.

Communities throughout Nunavut are hosting special events and information tables over the next few weeks.
