With more time to plan it this year, three First Nations groups are hoping for an even better All-Nations Tribal Days.
The event, which debuted last April, is back for a second year this time a month earlier, Feb. 28-Mar. 2, and is put together by the Dakota Plains Wahpeton Nation, Long Plain First Nation and Sandy Ojibway First Nation in conjunction with the city of Portage la Prairie.
Some of the popular events include a hockey tournament with five divisions this year, which will be held at the PCU Centre, BDO Centre for the Community, and Long Plain Rez Plex.
Pool and Texas Hold-em tournaments will also be held as well as a talent show and square dancing exhibition, bingo, volleyball and a star blanket competition.
