The City of Wetaskiwin hosted a National Truth and Reconciliation event on Sept. 30.
The gathering was an opportunity to honour survivors, reflect on shared history and strengthen the city’s commitment to reconciliation.
The event started with a community smudge and honour songs at the Heritage Museum and a walk to the Peace Cairn.
