What We Heard – Budget Dialogues 2025

The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) has released the What We Heard Report on the Budget Dialogues 2025 public engagement. This year’s engagement brought together residents, Indigenous and community governments, businesses, industry and non-governmental organizations to share their views on the GNWT’s fiscal decision-making process.

Public engagement was conducted in May and June 2025, using a combination of virtual and in-person engagements, along with an online survey. The feedback received will guide the development of Budget 2026-27 and inform the broader fiscal strategy of the 20th Legislative Assembly.
