Wood Buffalo RCMP investigate missing person – Shirley Ann Waquan

Fort McMurray, Alta. (July 5, 2016) – The Wood Buffalo RCMP and family are asking for the public’s assistance in helping to locate a missing 48-year-old female. Shirley Ann Waquan was last seen on July 1st, 2007, in the downtown area of Fort McMurray, but was also known to visit Edmonton, Alta.. Police continue to investigate her disappearance. Today marks the ninth anniversary of Shirley being reported missing.

Shirley is described as:

• First Nations
• 48 years old
• Approximately 5’3” tall
• 198 pounds
• Brown hair
• Brown eyes
• Tattoo on her right wrist that says “SHIRL”
• Missing several teeth
