Nunavut Inuit Resource Revenue Trust is seeking one qualified individual to serve as independent trustee for a term of three years.
An ideal candidate should have a combination of post-secondary education and relevant professional experience in the fields of finance, investment, accounting, business, law or corporate management. Priority will be given to individuals enrolled under the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement.
Nunavut Inuit Resource Revenue Trust was set up by Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI) and Regional Inuit Associations to invest and manage revenue from mining resource development in Inuit Owned Lands and other resource revenue received by NTI under the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement and NTI’s Resource Revenue Policy.
Nunavut Inuit Resource Revenue Trust is managed by seven trustees, three of whom are independent trustees.
Independent Trustees are generally required to attend one face-to-face meeting and one to two teleconferences every year, and will receive daily honoraria and reimbursement of expenses for attending to the business of the Trust.
