Premier and ministers want to hear from Yukoners

Press Release

January 8, 2016

WHITEHORSE—The premier and Cabinet ministers will be travelling this winter to Yukon communities to meet with First Nations, municipalities and the public to listen to Yukoners’ budget priorities.

“We want to hear from as many people as possible regarding their thoughts on budget priorities as we prepare the spring budget,” Premier Darrell Pasloski said.

Meetings are scheduled to begin January 13 and 14 in Carcross and Tagish. Additional dates will be announced as they are finalized.

“This is an excellent opportunity to hear directly from Yukoners about the needs of their families and businesses,” Pasloski added. “These meetings build on my community conversations last fall, and are one more way to ensure citizens’ views help shape the future of Yukon.”
