An invitation to provide your input on: Patients First: A Proposal to Strengthen Patient-Centred Care in Ontario
In December 2015, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) released Patients First: A Proposal to Strengthen Patient-Centred care in Ontario, a discussion paper that outlines proposed changes for the Ontario health care system.
The proposal has four main ways to strengthen the health care system with a focus on better patient care: (1) more integration of services and greater equity; (2) better access to, and integration of, primary care; (3) more consistent and accessible home and community care; and (4) stronger links to population and public health.
