Cultural Diversity and Race Relations Month Opening Ceremony
Tuesday, March 1, 2016
1:30 p.m.
Council Chambers, City Hall
Each year since 1994, the City’s Cultural Diversity and Race Relations Committee has presented “Living in Harmony” Recognition Awards at a special ceremony to mark March 21, the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The Committee presents these annual awards as part of Cultural Diversity and Race Relations Month to focus attention on the positive initiatives taking place in our community. This year, the awards will be presented on Monday, March 21, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., at Tommy Douglas Collegiate (130 Bowlt Crescent).
As a reminder, throughout March, the City continues to encourage and invite citizens to talk about racism and ways to eliminate it by sharing their experiences and messages of inclusion online. To participate, answer three simple questions using your Apple or Android device, or computer with a webcam. Visit saskatoon.ca/IamtheBridge to get started.
