KC Group Employment Advisor

Kitikmeot Corporation has an exciting and challenging employment opportunity. Based in Cambridge Bay, NU and reporting to KC’s Director, Business Relations, the KC Group Employment Advisor supports the KC Group of Companies by providing strategic advice on their respective community relations and human resources opportunities.

To achieve these goals, the Employment Advisor works with the management and Human Resource staff of individual KC Group companies operating at mineral development or mining sites in Nunavut and the NWT. This specifically includes the following KC Group companies: Nuna Logistics, Kitikmeot Caterers, Kitikmeot Cementation Mining & Development, Geotech Ekutak, Medic-North Nunavut, Nunavut Sealink & Supply Inc, Nunami Stantec, Toromont Arctic and Kitikmeot Blasting Services.

The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Human Resource Management, Aboriginal Studies, Commerce, Education or a related field along with three years experience in project or human resource management. Equivalencies may be considered and would comprise, at minimum, a two-year college diploma in a related field, coupled with five years progressive experience in project or human resource management. Preference will be given to beneficiaries of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement who meet the qualifications for this position.

The starting salary for this position is under review, and will include a northern allowance and other benefits. Housing may be provided. Only those applicants considered for an interview will be contacted.
