More Indigenous Canadians to obtain the distinction of attending Harvard Business School in 2017
A unique partnership between AFOA Canada and Harvard Business School (HBS) will see forty-six AFOA Canada members from across Canada attend and obtain an Executive Program certificate from the Harvard Business School in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
The program, Leading People and Investing to Build Sustainable Communities applies the HBS case study method to teach participants how to effectively understand thought leading problem solving methods and how to apply them in a community context. It covers four key pillars of effective community investment through essential governance techniques, entrepreneurial finance, negotiations and change management.
“We are really excited to offer this program, in partnership with HBS, to our members. It will greatly broaden the knowledge and expertise of participants, and in turn enhance the governance of investments at the community level,” says AFOA Canada President and CEO Terry Goodtrack. “Our goals were to ensure we had as much regional balance and gender balance in the participants attending the program”.
