Director, Business Development

Kitikmeot Corporation (KC) is seeking a Director, Business Development for its headquarters office in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. The duties and responsibilities of the position are diverse, and include:

• Providing strategic and operational management support to KC and its 20+ subsidiaries, partnership companies, and unincorporated joint ventures
• Investigating and pursuing new business and new investment opportunities
• Monitoring the performance of KC’s investments to ensure that they provide maximumbenefit to its Inuit shareholderThe ideal candidate will have a university degree in economic development, business, finance or management, coupled with a minimum or 10 years of progressive experience. He or she also has a demonstrated record of excellence in carrying out business and management functions, preparing business plans, undertaking financial analysis, and negotiating business deals.Preference will be given to Beneficiaries of the Nunavut Agreement who meet the qualifications for this position. The starting salary for this senior position is under review, and will include a northern allowance and other benefits, including housing.
