Controller

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Controller will plan, organize and supervise accounting-related functions for Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI) and associated companies. This includes general accounting, policy development, cash management, budget, audit preparations, revenue and expenditure forecasts, as well as accounting- related contract compliances.

Applicants must have an accounting designation (CPA, CA/CGA or CMA) with five years of experience in a senior accounting position, preferably in a not-for profit organization. The successful candidate must have the ability to analyze and interpret policies, legislation and regulations related to federal and territorial financial requirements. The ability to speak Inuktut is an asset. Preference will be given to Inuit who are enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement.

Starting salary is $113,296.00 per annum (commensurate with experience) with $24,000.00 Northern and Housing allowance and a comprehensive benefit package including an employee pension plan, group insurance and vacation travel assistance.
