Stand for Water!

Vancouver premier of the documentary film “Uprivers” follows the story of two indigenous women from BC and Alaska fighting to protect water and way of life in the aftermath of the 2014 Mount Polley Mine disaster and a dozen new uprivers mines across British Columbia.

Panel discussion to follow on indigenous consent, water protection and impacts from mining with:

• Grand Chief Stewart Phillip, President UBCIC and Chair of the Okanagan Nation Alliance
• Loretta Williams, FNWARM Chair and a leader in the Tsilhqot’in Nation’s efforts to protect land, water and way of life, and
• Nuskmata (Jacinda Mack), Stand for Water spokesperson and co-star of Uprivers film (Secwepemc/Nuxalk)
