The East Coast Music Association is saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Gary Sappier. A leader in the Blues and Indigenous communities, Gary will be terribly missed in the East Coast music scene. With a strong desire to make a difference, Gary began his musical career in the Tobique First Nation, NB and toured with The Gary Sappier Band across Atlantic Canada, Dubai and beyond. He served as an ECMA Board member representing New Brunswick and was the voice of the indigenous and blues community in many aspects.

Gary will be greatly missed throughout the East Coast and in the music industry. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time of loss.
