Sheehan hears border concerns – Sault Star

Terry Sheehan will relay to his federal government colleagues what he’s hearing from his Sault Ste. Marie constituents.

Residents want the border with the United States to remain closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Related resolutions from several municipal and First Nation councils, including Batchewana First Nation, Garden River First Nation, Prince Township and Sault Ste. Marie, have been directed to the Sault Ste. Marie MP.

“Our government is using every tool in the toolbox to keep Canadians safe, and limiting travel across the border is an important part of our response to the pandemic,” said Sheehan in a release.
