Press Release
Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) is proud to announce the inaugural Noah Paniyuk Memorial Scholarships for Trades Excellence. This year two $5,000 scholarships have been awarded to Brady Tucktoo and Bailey Green, two talented Nunavut students both from Rankin Inlet who are committed to building successful careers in the skilled trades.
Brady Tucktoo is currently apprenticing as a plumber with Agnico Eagle. He has completed training at Nunavut Arctic College’s Sanatuliqsarvik Nunavut Trades Training Centre and will continue his apprenticeship studies at Northwestern Polytechnic in Alberta. Brady’s long-term goal is to establish his own plumbing company, creating employment and mentorship opportunities within Nunavut.
Bailey Green recently completed the Culinary Arts program at Holland College in Prince Edward Island. She is continuing her journey in Pastry Arts at the Culinary Institute of Canada. Her goal is to open a business in Nunavut that celebrates Inuit culture and utilizes local ingredients.
Created in memory of Noah Paniyuk, a dedicated QEC employee whose skill and passion for his work continue to inspire, this scholarship recognizes leadership and encourages Nunavut students pursuing skilled trades training.
By supporting students like Brady and Bailey, QEC is committed to empowering communities through education and skills development in the territory.
