Métis Nation of Ontario’s (MNO) Tammy Webb, Education and Training Manager of Labour Market, received a well-earned honour at the Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISET) Gathering in Ottawa, where she was presented with the Indigenous Skills and Employment Legend (20+ Years) Award on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

The award recognizes a longstanding leader with more than two decades of dedication to advancing Indigenous skills training and employment across sectors.

In fact, Tammy brings nearly three decades of service to the MNO, where she has played an important role in advancing culturally grounded employment and training services for Métis citizens across Ontario. Since 1996, she has helped deliver frontline supports, manage programs, and support teams that assist Métis job seekers in navigating education, training, and employment pathways.

“Our Métis government runs on the strength, care, and consistency of the people who choose to serve our communities year after year,” said Director of Education and Training Bryanna Scott. “The quiet dedication of people like Tammy, who keep our government moving forward every day, reflects the deep commitment we have to our Nation and to future generations.”

“Tammy and all of our longtime MNO staff members are the heartbeat of our government,” said MNO President Margaret Froh. “Their dedication, relationships, and shared commitment to our communities are why we are able to provide incredible programs and services to our citizens.”
Throughout her career, Tammy has worked closely with communities, partners, and colleagues to strengthen workforce opportunities and promote inclusive, culturally responsive labour market outcomes. She is widely recognized for her practical, collaborative, and community-centred approach, as well as her commitment to ensuring Métis citizens have access to meaningful and sustainable employment.

“The reason I have been with the MNO for so long is the people,” said Webb. “I have met so many wonderful people along the way and have loved every minute of my job.”

A proud Métis citizen, Tammy is also a wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Family and community are central to her values and continue to guide her work. She remains deeply passionate about creating pathways that support Métis individuals and communities in achieving long-term success through education, training, and employment.

On behalf of the MNO, congratulations on your very well-deserved award Tammy!
