Call for proposals – Nunavut Mine Training Fund (NMTF)

The Government of Nunavut is now accepting applications for the Nunavut Mine Training Fund (NMTF) for community-based training initiatives that support Nunavummiut in gaining employment in the mining industry and related fields.

We invite not-for-profit organizations, municipal governments and individuals to be part of this skill-building opportunity for Nunavummiut.

The deadline for applications is Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

Some examples of possible training include:

Pre-employment program.
Introduction to mining.
Environmental monitoring.
Heavy equipment operating.
