Event celebrated Métis language and culture with students, parents and community members

Autumn Machiskinic had a lot of fun with her family at Kitchener Community School’s Michif bingo night this week.

“I’m starting to learn some Métis culture with my family,” the Grade 6 student said.

“My dad knows a lot, so he’s teaching my brother how to also speak Michif, and he is really starting to get better at it and we’re starting to like it.”
