Ministerial Travel

• Minister Wawzonek will be traveling to Toronto, ON April 28-May 1 to:
  • Attend and speak as a panelist at the 9th Annual First Nation Major Project Coalition
  • Attend the First Nations Major Projects Coalition Sustaining Partners dinner (April 30)
  • Meet with Ehren Cory, Chief Executive Officer and Hillary Thatcher, Executive Vice President, Indigenous & Northern Infrastructure with Canada Infrastructure Bank (April 30)
• Minister Wawzonek and Minister Cleveland will be traveling to Norman Wells, NT, on May 4 to:
  • Attend a Community Town Hall with Sahtu MLA Daniel McNeely.
  • Meet with Frank Pope, Mayor of Norman Wells and Sahtu MLA Daniel McNeely.
  • Meet with Sherry Hodgson, President of Tlegohli Got’ine Government Inc and Daniel McNeely, Sahtu MLA (Minister Cleveland)

• Minister McKay will be providing a keynote address and participating in the Northern Transport Ministers Panel at the Northern Air Transport Association Annual General Meeting on April 28 in Yellowknife.
• Minister McKay will be attending and providing remarks at the Day of Mourning Service on April 28 in Yellowknife.
• Premier Simpson, Minister Macdonald, Minister Cleveland, Minister Semmler, Minister McKay and Minister Kuptana will be attending a bilateral meeting between the GNWT and Sahtu Secretariat Incorporated on April 29 in Yellowknife.
• Minister Cleveland will be attending a Public SCEDE Briefing – Socio-Economic Agreement Program Review on April 29 in Yellowknife.
• Minister Cleveland will be attending a Public SCEDE Briefing – Tourism 2030 on April 30 in Yellowknife.
• Minister Cleveland will be attending a Public SCOSD Briefing – Inclusive Schooling on April 30 in Yellowknife.
• Minister Kuptana will be meeting with the YWCA NWT and MLA Kate Reid on April 30 in Yellowknife.
• Minister Kuptana will be virtually attending a Tri-Territorial Ministers Responsible for Housing meeting with the Honourable Scott Kent, Minister Responsible for the Yukon Housing Corporation, and the Honourable Cecile Nelvana Lyall, Minister Responsible for the Nunavut Housing Corporation on April 30.
• Minister McKay will be meeting with the IRC Chair & CEO Elias and MLA Kuptana on April 30.
• Minister Kuptana will be virtually attending a Tri-Territorial Ministers Responsible for the Status of Women meeting with the Honourable Minister Gwen Healey Akearok, Nunavut Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, and the Honourable Laura Lang, Yukon Minister Responsible for the Women and Gender Equity Directorate on May 1.
• Minister Kuptana will be Attending the Standing Committee on Social Development Briefing on the Territorial Housing Needs Assessment Report on May 1 in Yellowknife.
• Minister Macdonald will be attending the Wildfire Coordination Centre Ground Breaking Ceremony on May 1 in Fort Smith
• Minister Macdonald will be hosting the Honourable Grant Hunter, Minister of Environment and Protected Areas of Alberta in on May 1-3 in Fort Smith
