Frank Horn Named Interim President of Indigenous Sport & Wellness Ontario Board of Directors

Indigenous Sport & Wellness Ontario (ISWO) is proud to announce the appointment of Frank Horn as Interim President of the Board of Directors.

Mississauga, ON — Indigenous Sport & Wellness Ontario (ISWO) is proud to announce the appointment of Frank Horn as Interim President of the Board of Directors, effective January 14, 2026.

Mr. Horn has served on ISWO’s Board of Directors for the past two years and brings extensive leadership experience through his involvement with Indigenous organizations and community boards across Ontario. Known for his commitment to community development and Indigenous well-being, he has consistently supported initiatives that create opportunities for Indigenous youth through sport, culture and wellness.

In his new role, Mr. Horn will help guide the organization as ISWO continues to expand its reach, strengthen partnerships, and support Indigenous communities across the province.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as Interim President of the ISWO Board of Directors,” said Mr. Horn. “Sport and wellness play an important role in building strong communities and supporting the next generation of Indigenous youth. I look forward to working alongside the board and staff as the organization continues to grow and create meaningful impact.”

ISWO Executive Director Stephen Kwinter welcomed the appointment, recognizing Mr. Horn’s leadership and longstanding involvement in Indigenous community initiatives.

“Frank brings valuable experience, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of community engagement,” said Kwinter. “We are excited to work alongside him as ISWO continues to grow and advance opportunities for Indigenous athletes, youth and communities throughout Ontario.”

The appointment comes at an important time for ISWO as the organization moves forward with the implementation of its 2025–2028 Strategic Plan, the expansion of community programming, and the launch of its redesigned website and digital community hub.
