Sault’s Shingwauk Kinoomaage Gamig now can move on with expanded programming
In a landmark announcement this April, the Ontario government committed $57 million to support Indigenous education institutes across the province. For Algoma District, the funding allows for the Sault’s Shingwauk Kinoomaage Gamig the opportunity to nearly double its operations.
“The funding could not have come at a better time,” said Mary Wabano-McKay, President and CAO of Shingwauk, the Centre of Excellence in Anishinaabe Education.
