Woodland People exhibition opens at Bruce County Museum June 6 – The Shoreline Beacon

Woodland People, a new exhibition by Saugeen First Nation artist Taylor Cameron, that opens June 6 at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre in Southampton explores the history and enduring culture of the Woodland peoples who have lived on this territory since time immemorial.
The Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre invites the community to the opening of Woodland People, a new exhibition by Saugeen First Nation artist Taylor Cameron, that opens June 6 in Southampton.
A Museum news release said Woodland People explores the history and enduring culture of the Woodland peoples who have lived on this territory since time immemorial. Through his work, Cameron draws on archaeological knowledge and artistic practice to present authentic depictions of past lifeways, bringing fragments of history into contemporary spaces.
