Long-standing cultural hub which shut its doors in 2018 began offering services at new site earlier this year
A long-standing Indigenous cultural hub in Winnipeg has big plans for the future now that it’s resumed services years after its old home shut down.
The Winnipeg Indigenous Friendship Centre resumed services at a temporary space on 412 McGregor St. earlier this year, as work on a new community meeting space at its former location in the city’s North End continues.
The old site at 45 Robinson St. shut down in 2018 and was demolished three years ago, after vandals caused extensive damage to the building.
