Nipissing First Nation Chief and Council are seeking six Debendaagziwaad to serve on the Miskwaabik Advisory Committee, commencing July 2026 and ending June 2027.
The Miskwaabik Advisory Committee applicants must be NFN members aged 18 years or older. Chief and Council are seeking applicants to fill the following positions:
• 1 Elder
• 1 Youth (18 to 29 years old)
• 1 Off-Reserve Member
• 1 On-Reserve Member
• 2 Members-at-Large
The Miskwaabik Advisory Committee provides community-driven guidance, advice, and recommendations to support the planning and development of Miskwaabik (Beaucage Park) as a culturally significant, community-focused, and substance-free space.
Committee members will help ensure the park’s development aligns with Nipissing First Nation’s cultural values, historical significance, community priorities, and long-term vision.
Regular meetings are held monthly for the remainder of the park’s open season, with additional meetings held in January and March to plan for the following season.
Virtual participation will be supported where feasible. Committee members are paid an honorarium in accordance with Nipissing First Nation policy.
