North American Construction Group shipping equipment to northeastern Ontario site
Two Alberta companies have been awarded a more than $250-million contract for a major gold mine project in Northern Ontario.
North American Construction Group (NACG) and the Nuna Group of Companies formed a joint venture partnership to begin construction this fall on the earthworks for the mine.
The contractors are keeping mum on the identity of the project. NACG didn’t return queries from Northern Ontario Business, but an Edmonton media report said NACG has started shipping its equipment across the country to a site between Timmins and Sudbury that’s expected to create nearly 1,000 jobs.
