For Rebecca (Becky) Mearns, learning doesn’t always begin on a page or in a classroom.

Often, it begins by making things with her hands.

That understanding has shaped Ms. Mearns’ recent time as artist-in-residence at the Winnipeg Art Gallery-Qaumajuq.
