Call to Power 2025 – Virtual Information Session

On May 5, 2025, The Premier of British Columbia and BC Hydro announced a new Call to Power — the second in two years, again with an accelerated timeline. While BC Hydro has already posted information sessions on May 27, 29, June 3, and 5, some First Nations communities may not have had an opportunity to attend.
To ensure all communities have access to timely information, the First Nations Energy and Mining Council will host a dedicated, full-day virtual forum. This session will provide information on:
- The 2025 Call to Power process and timelines
- Lessons learned from the 2024 Call to Power
- Practical solutions and strategies to support First Nations participation
- Presentations from First Nations leadership, BC Hydro, and the Province of BC
- Next steps and key considerations for the 2025 Call to Power
Participation Funding:
Funding of $400 is available for one (1) delegate per community. Additional participants are welcome to attend; however, funding is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.
We encourage all interested communities to participate in this important session.
