Chief Executive Officer

Mushkegowuk Council is a regional (corporation) organization created by the Mushkegowuk First Nations in 1985. Under the federal government’s tribal council policy, funding is provided to the Mushkegowuk Council to provide various tribal council services to the member First Nations. As well, in exercising our Inherent, Aboriginal and Treaty Rights, the member First Nations give the mandate the Council to collectively advance a wide range of governance and public service matters that are not funded under the tribal council policy.

Through our collective efforts, the Mushkegowuk First Nations have many political and public service achievements and successes. Going forward, there is much work that needs to be done and there are many opportunities on the horizon that can help us build healthier communities.

The Chief Executive Officer is a critical team member of the organization and region. The Chief Executive Officer will possess and bring a high level of administrative, management, leadership, analytical, and negotiating expertise to the Council.

The Mushkegowuk Council of Chiefs encourages those that are suitable and competent for this high level senior position to submit their application for employment.
