(Barrie, ON) – The month of June is recognized as National Indigenous History Month, and June 21 as National Indigenous Peoples Day.
Throughout the month, the City of Barrie is supporting and collaborating with community partners to provide opportunities to learn about and celebrate the rich heritage, diverse cultures and significant contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

Programming was organized in partnership with the Barrie Native Friendship Centre, Mamaway Wiidokdaadwin Primary Care Team from the Barrie Area Native Advisory Circle, Red Quills, Barrie Public Library and the Downtown Barrie Improvement Area (BIA) and is funded in part by the Government of Canada.
