Clear Creek Forest Provincial Park will close to the public November 30, December 1, 7, 8, 9, 13 and 14, 2018 for an Indigenous deer harvest. The harvest will begin one half-hour before sunrise and end one half-hour after sunset on the scheduled harvest dates.
Ontario honours the traditional activities of Indigenous communities to conduct a deer harvest in Clear Creek Forest Provincial Park.
The harvest will take place in the area of the park between Morrison Road and Duart Road, and Cochrane Line and Talbot Trail. Ministry staff will monitor access points to make the public aware that the park is closed for public safety.
Indigenous harvesters will use shotguns and archery equipment and follow mandatory safety protocols.
