Employment & Skills Development: Now Accepting Applications for 2026-2027 Academic Year

Are you planning to attend college or university in Fall 2026?

The NunatuKavut Community Council (NCC) Employment & Skills Development department is now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 academic year!

Deadline to apply is April 1, 2026.

Eligibility:

• Current member of the NunatuKavut Community Council
• Be enrolled full time in a government recognized college or university
• Be unemployed or underemployed (working less than 20 hours a week)

Selection Criteria:

• Meet labour market demand
• Academic performance
• Training history
• Cost of training
• Budget considerations

Please note: You do not have to be accepted into your program before applying. All applicants must complete the full Skills Development Application found online at https://nunatukavut.ca/educational-programs/. The application portion must be submitted by the deadline in order to be considered, supporting documents can be submitted as soon as they are available.
