Indigenous Peoples Day in Mississippi Mills Saturday – Oldies 107.7

The Municipality of Mississippi Mills is honoured to be among those collaborating on NATIONAL INDIGENOUS PEOPLES DAY celebrations tomorrow.

Mayor Christa Lowry terms it, “a special opportunity to celebrate together and continue learning about the rich history and culture of Indigenous Peoples and the history of these lands on which Mississippi Mills resides.”

Planned events are offered in partnership with Mississippi Mills All My Relations, Ginawaydaganuc Village, the Municipality, the Local Immigration Partnership Lanark & Renfrew, and the Canadian Race Relations Foundation.

Start the day off from 830AM to Noon at the John Levi Community Centre in Almonte (182 Bridge Street) for a pancake breakfast and storytelling.
